A Fulani herder has reportedly been killed while 42 cattle were allegedly rustled in the Bankansarki area, around Sagas in Kongon Langai District of Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The incident, reportedly occurring on Thursday, was disclosed in a post on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the report, the herder was attacked while tending to the cattle, after which the attackers allegedly took away all 42 animals.

The development comes amid continuing tensions and reported attacks in parts of Mangu.
A similar incident was reportedly recorded on September 12 around Sabon Gari, where three Fulani herders were allegedly killed and about 50 cattle rustled.
There were also reports of houses and cattle being destroyed around Kantoma on Sunday, although the circumstances surrounding that incident had not been independently confirmed.
Authorities have yet to publicly provide further details on the latest incident or identify those responsible.
