Popular actor John Dumelo has been declared the winner of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency election in Ghana.
The Gollywood and Nollywood star defeated the incumbent, Lydia Alhassan of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to clinch the position.
Dumelo of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won his constituency with 40,561 votes, while Lydia Alhassan polled 27,377.
Recall that the actor contested for the constituency seat in 2020, but narrowly lost to Alhassan.
