
Frank Onyeka has earned a nomination for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month (April) following an impressive run of performances for Coventry City.
The Nigerian defensive midfielder played a key role in Coventry City’s strong April campaign, which ultimately saw the club secure promotion to the Premier League after winning the Sky Bet Championship title.
Onyeka contributed one assist in three appearances during the month, including a decisive stoppage-time pass to set up Ephron Mason-Clark for Coventry’s third goal in a standout match performance.

Since joining the club on loan from Brentford in January, the 28-year-old has recorded one goal and one assist in 14 league appearances under manager Frank Lampard.
He faces competition for the award from several standout performers across the league, including Christian Walton (Ipswich Town), Adrian Segečić (Portsmouth), Josh Windass (Wrexham AFC), Mohamed Touré (Norwich City), and Žan Vipotnik (Swansea City).
Onyeka’s nomination adds to what has been a breakthrough loan spell as he continues to grow in influence at Coventry City following their successful promotion campaign.
