The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has officially unveiled the Trionda Final as the match ball for the semi-finals, third-place playoff, and final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a statement released on Tuesday, FIFA confirmed that the newly designed ball will feature in the tournament’s final four matches, with the grand finale scheduled for July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States.
The Trionda Final retains the advanced performance technology of the original Trionda ball introduced in October 2025 but stands out with a refreshed premium aesthetic.
The ball showcases a striking blend of gold, white, and black, symbolizing the prestige and climax of football’s biggest global competition.
According to FIFA, the gold detailing represents the coveted World Cup trophy, while the black base adds a bold identity to the competition’s closing stages. The design also pays tribute to the 16 host cities of the expanded 2026 tournament.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the ball as a symbol of unity and excellence, emphasizing its significance in the tournament’s final phase.
“The Trionda Final represents the pinnacle of this World Cup. It will be at the feet of the world’s best players as they compete on football’s biggest stage. Every pass, shot, and goal will carry the spirit of the host nations and cities,” he said.
In addition to its design, the ball is equipped with the latest adidas Connected Ball Technology, which delivers real-time data to match officials. This innovation enhances decision-making accuracy and provides deeper analytical insights into gameplay.
The semi-final matches are set to kick off on July 14, with the tournament concluding on July 19 after the bronze medal match and the final.
As anticipation builds, the Trionda Final is expected to play a central role in defining the unforgettable moments of the 2026 FIFA World Cup’s closing chapter.
