The family of Prince Ikechukwu Oloto, popularly known as Okangamo, has called on security agencies to intensify investigations and arrest those responsible for his gruesome murder in Nsukka, Enugu State.
Oloto was reportedly hacked to death by unidentified attackers at his residence on Oloto Street, Odenigbo, Nsukka Local Government Area, on September 17, 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the family, his cousin, Collins Ogbu, expressed frustration over the lack of progress in the investigation, disclosing that the matter had been reported to the Inspector-General of Police.
According to Ogbu, the family has yet to receive any official update regarding possible suspects or developments in the case.
He described the deceased as a peaceful individual who rarely had disagreements with people, adding that he was unaware of anyone who might have had a serious dispute with him.

Ogbu also suggested that the attackers might have been people familiar to the deceased, noting that Oloto lived alone and rarely opened his gate to strangers.
He explained that the victim’s body was discovered by a friend or in-law who became suspicious after repeatedly calling his name without receiving a response.
The individual reportedly entered the compound and found him lying lifeless on the floor.
The Ibagwa-Ani Development Initiative has also condemned the delay in apprehending the perpetrators, describing the incident as disturbing and a source of growing insecurity in the community.
In a statement, the group called on the Enugu State Government, security agencies, lawmakers and Nsukka Local Government authorities to ensure a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation.
It further urged anyone with credible information about the killing to assist the authorities, while demanding stronger security measures in Ibagwa-Ani and neighbouring communities.
The group vowed to monitor the investigation and prosecution, insisting that justice must be served.
Meanwhile, efforts to obtain an update from the Enugu State Police Command spokesperson were unsuccessful, as calls and WhatsApp messages seeking clarification had not received a response as of the time of filing this report.
The family and community continue to demand answers as the search for the killers remains unresolved.
