A 20-foot container truck has crashed into a broken-down Lagos Waste Management Authority truck at Apakun, along the Iyana-Isolo axis of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority disclosed the incident on Thursday through its official social media platform, accompanied by a video showing the accident scene.
According to LASTMA, the accident occurred overnight after the containerised truck rammed into the stationary LAWMA vehicle.
The agency said its rescue team had been deployed to the location, while a crane and a high-capacity tow truck were activated to remove the damaged vehicles and ease traffic congestion.

LASTMA also confirmed that a casualty from the crash had been taken to a hospital for medical attention.
A video from the scene showed a person lying on the ground, but details about the victim’s identity and condition were not immediately available.
The incident has again raised concerns about the risks posed by broken-down heavy-duty vehicles on busy Lagos roads.
Authorities have continued to advise motorists and truck operators to properly mark faulty vehicles and remove them from major roads as quickly as possible to reduce the risk of secondary crashes.
