
At least three residents have been killed while 10 others, including women and babies, were reportedly abducted after armed bandits attacked Taketsaba village in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack was disclosed on Tuesday by conflict analyst Bakastine in a post on his X handle.
According to the analyst, one of those killed was identified as Aliyu M. Taketsaba, a Civil Defence officer serving in the Mafara Division.
He also identified Tanimu Aliyu Takatsaba, a primary school teacher, among those reportedly abducted during the attack.

Bakastine had earlier raised concerns over the activities of armed groups in the area, calling for urgent security intervention in Takatsaba and neighbouring communities.
The latest incident has renewed concerns over the worsening security situation in parts of Talata Mafara, where residents continue to face threats from armed groups.
Details surrounding the attack, including the identities of the attackers and the current whereabouts of the abducted victims, remain unclear.
As of the time of filing this report, the Zamfara State Police Command had not issued an official statement on the incident.
The fate of the abducted residents also remains unknown as security agencies are expected to provide further updates.
