Popular Nigerian comedian Jephthah Bowoto, widely known as Akpororo, has called on the Nigeria Police Force to broaden its investigation into the controversial killing of an upcoming singer in Delta State.
The comedian made the appeal in a video shared across his social media platforms, where he urged authorities not to limit their probe to the police officer involved but to also scrutinize the logistics company linked to the parcel that led to the fatal incident.
The singer was reportedly shot by a police officer, Usman Nuhu, at a transport terminal following a disagreement over a package.
The disturbing incident, which was captured on video and circulated widely online, has sparked nationwide outrage and renewed calls for justice.
Reacting to the development, Akpororo questioned the safety and inspection procedures of the logistics firm responsible for handling the parcel.

According to him, standard protocol requires companies to thoroughly check items before waybilling them to their destinations.
“Every company is expected to inspect parcels before sending them out. Why was this process ignored? The staff who handled this package from the point of origin must also be investigated,” he stated.
He further criticized the actions of the police officer, noting that the use of lethal force appeared excessive and raised serious concerns about accountability and professionalism within the system.
The incident continues to generate public debate, with many Nigerians demanding a transparent investigation to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragic death.
