Nollywood actress Tessy Oragwa has expressed deep anguish over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, particularly following the circulation of a disturbing video involving kidnapped children.
In an emotional video shared on her social media platform, the actress reacted to footage allegedly showing abducted children being subjected to inhumane treatment by their captors.
Visibly shaken, Oragwa described the situation as “pure evil” and questioned how the country had descended to such a level of brutality.
“I just saw a video of the kids that were kidnapped… I’m broken,” she said tearfully.
“I don’t know when and how we lost it to this extent that you can be hurting your fellow human beings with no conscience.”
Her outcry comes amid heightened public concern over rising cases of kidnapping and violence across the country.
The timing of the incident coinciding with Children’s Day celebrations has further intensified public outrage, as what should have been a day of joy turned into one of grief and anxiety for many families.

Oragwa also criticized what she described as a lack of accountability and swift response from authorities, questioning why perpetrators who boldly share such acts online are not easily tracked and apprehended.
“The audacity… they put these things online and yet they can’t be tracked. But if it’s a citizen, they can be found immediately,” she lamented.
In a desperate appeal, the actress called on relevant authorities to take immediate action to rescue the children and address the growing insecurity crisis.
“Save our children. Save the mothers. Save the fathers. Do something,” she pleaded. “If there is anything this country has done, we are sorry. Please rescue those children.”
Her emotional message has since resonated widely across social media, with many Nigerians echoing her concerns and demanding urgent government intervention to curb the alarming trend of kidnappings and violence.
As insecurity continues to challenge the nation, voices like Oragwa’s are amplifying the call for decisive action to protect vulnerable citizens especially children from further harm.
