
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has rescued a motorist from an angry mob following a road accident in the Karsana area of Abuja.
The incident occurred on Sunday when a crowd reportedly turned on the driver after the crash, prompting police operatives to respond swiftly to the scene.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, officers successfully rescued the motorist and moved the individual to safety before restoring calm in the area.

The police said the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja has begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
In a separate operation on Monday, police operatives also arrested three suspected vandals allegedly caught damaging public infrastructure along 3 Constitution Avenue in Abuja.
The suspects were reportedly apprehended during a surveillance operation carried out by officers on a disguised patrol and have been taken into custody for further investigation.
The command urged residents to avoid taking the law into their own hands during accidents or disputes and instead allow security agencies to handle such situations.
