Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been remanded in custody after the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, denied his bail on Monday.
He faces multiple charges, including assault, resisting arrest, and theft.
Portable’s arrest followed allegations that he attacked actress and skit maker Ashabi Simple, one of his baby mamas and mother of two of his children, at his bar in Iyana Ilogbo on New Year’s Day.

Police also claim he stole a Mercedes-Benz E300 valued at ₦12 million, linked to a local car dealer.
During the hearing, two siblings of Ashabi testified against the singer, while he was also accused of obstructing and assaulting a female police officer on duty.
The judge ruled that bail could not be granted until all witnesses, including the police officer, were present, and adjourned the hearing to January 19.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command is investigating a viral video allegedly showing Portable being assaulted while in custody.
