Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has officially launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration drive, aiming to build a two-million-member base across the state.
Speaking at Owo, Nkanu East Local Government Area, Mbah emphasized that the era of fragmented politics, which has denied Enugu federal benefits, is over.
“It was barely two and a half months ago we chose partnership and progress. The time of fragmented politics is over.
We no longer want to be on the sidelines. We want to be at the centre and play dominant politics,” the governor said.
Mbah explained that Enugu must give meaningful political support to attract fair treatment from the federal government.
The registration exercise targets at least two million members statewide and is meant to ensure that political alignment is consistent at all levels.
“We are APC in the morning, APC in the afternoon, and APC at night,” Mbah declared.
Dr. Ben Nwoye, APC caretaker chairman in Enugu, added that the exercise would modernize the party for 21st-century political realities.

He stressed that the October 2025 move to APC was to strengthen the party for Enugu’s benefit, not to displace existing members.
Mbah also highlighted that President Bola Tinubu’s programs, particularly the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme, would empower millions directly and indirectly lift about 40 million Nigerians out of poverty.
Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, described the e-registration as a digital approach to improving the party’s database, requiring registrants to provide their National Identification Number (NIN).
