Nigeria’s Senate President, Godwill Akpabio, has strongly denied reports claiming that he collapsed and was rushed to a hospital in London for medical treatment.
Reacting to the report, his media aide and Consultant on Communications and Strategy, Kenny Okolugbo, said the story was completely false and misleading.
He dismissed the claims, describing them as “a lie” and “fake news,” and insisted that there was no truth to the report.
The denial follows an online report published on Monday which alleged that Akpabio collapsed and was flown in a private jet to London for treatment.
Akpabio’s camp has, however, maintained that the report is untrue and should be ignored by the public.
