EPL: Tottenham manager Thomas Frank explains 4-1 loss to Arsenal

EPL: Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank admits team delivered “a bad performance” as Arsenal run out 4-1 winners on Sunday

The Gunners claimed all three points at the Emirates with a commanding display, highlighted by a hat-trick from Eberechi Eze. Spurs’ only goal came after Martin Zubimendi lost possession, allowing Richarlison to fire from distance past David Raya.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank expressed his pain and disappointment over the way his team conceded the goals. “It is extremely painful. I won’t shy away from that. It was a bad performance, completely opposite to the intentions we had when we came here,” he admitted.

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Thomas Frank, apologized to the fans following his team’s disappointing 4-1 defeat to Arsenal. He admitted: “We can only apologise to the fans for the performance. No matter how hard both teams tried to play, Arsenal got more out of the game, and we couldn’t respond.”

Frank added that his side struggled in key moments: “When we played long, we didn’t win enough duels. That was obvious in the 2-0 and 3-0 goals, where Arsenal players went through two or three of ours. It was a bad performance, and we lost.

“I’ve witnessed plenty of character and determination in this team, but we fell short in winning crucial duels. Call it what you will, but ultimately, we didn’t come out on top where it mattered.”
