Tochi Wigwe, daughter of late Access Bank founder Herbert Wigwe, has married Lagos-based investment executive Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu in a private traditional wedding ceremony.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, with family members, friends and loved ones in attendance.
The traditional marriage featured several cultural rites, including the payment of the bride price, signing of family documents and the formal handover of Tochi to her husband’s family.
The wedding comes more than two years after Tochi suffered the devastating loss of her parents, Herbert and Chizoba Wigwe, and younger brother, Chizi, who died in a helicopter crash in California, United States, on February 9, 2024.
Herbert Wigwe was a renowned banking executive and former Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings.

Tochi is the eldest surviving daughter of the late Herbert and Chizoba Wigwe. She also serves as a director of the Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe Foundation, established to preserve her father’s legacy and continue his humanitarian work.
Her husband, Wilson Aikhomu, is an investment professional and Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Zoya Admiralty.
He is the son of late Rear Admiral Joseph Omozuwa Aikhomu and nephew of former Chief of General Staff, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu. Wilson was also reportedly a close friend of Tochi’s late younger brother, Chizi.
The wedding has attracted attention, with many viewing the occasion as a joyful new chapter for Tochi and her family after the tragic events of 2024.
