
A 15-year-old boy, Umar Sa’adu Moba, was allegedly killed after three men who reportedly abducted him feared he could expose their involvement.
The incident reportedly occurred in Labo village, Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to an account contained in a viral social media video, Abdullahi Ali, Mahammadu Ali and Mahammadu Sani allegedly lured the teenager, who was from Jibia Local Government Area, into the bush before handing him over to a suspected kidnap kingpin identified as Kachalla Abu.
The suspected kidnap kingpin allegedly collected N70 million as ransom before releasing the teenager alive.
The three men were reportedly given N17 million from the ransom and instructed to return the boy to his relatives.

However, they allegedly decided to kill the teenager because they feared he would identify them and reveal their involvement in his abduction.
The account further stated that after the boy’s family reached an agreement concerning his release, the suspected kidnap kingpin was contacted.
He allegedly revealed the roles played by the three men and reportedly devised a plan to lure them back by promising them additional money from the ransom.
The suspects allegedly returned as planned and were apprehended. The suspected kingpin later reportedly killed them after they made a public confession in a video that subsequently circulated online.
The teenager and the three men were reportedly from Jibia Local Government Area, while the incident took place in Labo village, Batsari Local Government Area.
However, the circumstances surrounding the reported deaths, as well as the identities and status of those responsible for killing the suspects, have not been independently verified.
Further clarification from security agencies is expected to establish what actually happened.
