The family of Imole Ilesanmi, a teenager from Agbado, Ogun State, has raised the alarm after she reportedly went missing on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
According to her father, Imole was at home around 3pm before she left after preparing food. The family later learnt that she planned to visit the Popóshóla area, where she was reportedly expected to see a cleric.
Her phone reportedly rang until Monday morning but was not answered. The family subsequently reported the matter at the Agbado Police Station.
A cleric known as Alfa, whom the family initially believed could have information about her whereabouts, was arrested and later released.

He denied seeing Imole on the day she disappeared and said she had told people she was heading to Popóshóla, not his residence.
Imole’s family has continued searching and sharing her pictures, but they say they have also received several false reports and rumours about her whereabouts.
The family is appealing to anyone with credible information about Imole’s location to come forward and assist with efforts to bring her home safely.
