A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist has been crushed to death by a tipper truck at Ilasa Bus Stop, inward Mile 2, Lagos State.
The accident occurred around 3:18 p.m. and involved a sand-laden tipper truck and a motorcycle.
The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said preliminary findings indicated that the tipper driver allegedly lost control and rammed into the motorcycle from behind.
LASEMA’s Eagle Response Team, alongside its paramedics, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officials and the police, responded to the scene.

The motorcyclist, an adult male, died from injuries sustained in the collision. His remains were recovered and handed over to family members present at the scene.
The vehicles involved were subsequently removed from the road and taken to Ilasamaja Police Station for further investigation, while normal traffic flow was restored.
Authorities have urged motorists, particularly drivers of articulated vehicles, to exercise caution and obey traffic regulations to prevent further loss of lives on Lagos roads.
