The Oyo State Police Command has rescued four more children allegedly stolen from their biological parents and sold to different individuals, bringing the total number of children recovered in an ongoing investigation to 21.
The latest recoveries followed complaints from parents who recognised their missing children after police earlier announced the rescue of 17 children and the arrest of suspects linked to an alleged child-stealing, human trafficking and baby factory syndicate.
According to the police, further information obtained during the investigation led operatives to Lagos and Delta states.
Three-year-old Taiwo Olamilekan was rescued from the Akoka area of Lagos on September 3, while Aleemi Omogoriola Okuleye was recovered from Ikorodu on September 8.

In Delta State, police operatives rescued two children from the same parents in Agbor on September 14. The children, identified as nine-year-old Adeyinka Ayomide and two-year-old Adeyinka Gold, were allegedly taken from their parents in Ogun State before being moved to Delta State.
The police said verification carried out after the recoveries confirmed the identities of the children’s biological parents, leading to their successful reunification with their families.
The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, has directed investigators to pursue all credible leads, identify other possible victims and uncover the wider network allegedly involved.
The command also urged parents and guardians whose children remain missing to report to the police and provide information that could assist ongoing investigations.
