
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued three kidnapped victims following an attack on a commercial vehicle along the Anka–Gummi Road in Zamfara State.
The troops were on routine patrol in Anka Local Government Area when they received information about the attack and swiftly moved to the scene.
The soldiers engaged the attackers, forcing the terrorists to flee into the surrounding area and abandon their captives.

Three victims were subsequently rescued, while a handheld communication radio allegedly belonging to the fleeing terrorists was recovered.
The rescued victims are receiving medical attention and are expected to be reunited with their families.
Meanwhile, security forces have intensified search operations and patrols along the Anka–Gummi corridor as efforts continue to track down the fleeing attackers and secure the major highway.
