At least 30 people have reportedly been killed following a deadly attack on Naridon village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The attack, which occurred on Sunday night, claimed the lives of several residents, including women and children, while many homes were set ablaze, leaving the community devastated.
According to information from residents, search and recovery efforts were still ongoing as of Monday, with fears that the death toll could increase as more bodies are recovered from the affected area.
The extent of injuries and the number of displaced residents had not yet been confirmed, as authorities continued to assess the aftermath of the violence.
The latest incident has intensified concerns over the worsening security situation in Southern Kaduna, where communities have faced repeated attacks and kidnappings in recent months.

Residents and community leaders have urged the Kaduna State Government, the Federal Government, and security agencies to strengthen security in vulnerable communities and take decisive action to prevent further attacks.
The assault comes days after reports that several abducted residents from communities in Kachia Local Government Area reportedly died while in captivity after spending months with their captors, highlighting the persistent insecurity affecting parts of Southern Kaduna.
As of the time of reporting, security agencies had not issued an official statement on the latest attack or confirmed the casualty figures.
