Troops of the 112 Task Force Battalion under Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with Hybrid Forces, have arrested five suspected terrorist logistics suppliers during an operation in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation, carried out on July 20, targeted a suspected supply network believed to be providing support to terrorist groups operating in the North-East.
According to the military, the suspects were intercepted while transporting 491 cartons of Albe Stark 2.5 per cent veterinary dewormer and 100 cartons of multivitamin injections for animals without valid waybills or other supporting documents.
A search of the vehicles also uncovered concealed medical supplies, including 32 cartons of Diclofenac Sodium Injection, 58 cartons of Benzylpenicillin Sodium BP, six cartons of Dexamethasone Injection, and 51 cartons of Metronidazole Intravenous Infusion.
Security personnel further recovered 30 units of 80-inch LG plasma televisions, 152 empty Bagco sacks, and seven mobile phones during the operation.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the shipment was intended for a vendor in N’Djamena, Chad, while part of the hidden medical supplies was to be transferred to another vehicle near the Nigeria–Chad border in an apparent attempt to avoid security checks.
The suspects have been handed over to the 24 Task Force Brigade for further investigation.
The military described the interception as another major breakthrough in Operation HADIN KAI’s efforts to dismantle terrorist logistics networks, stressing that disrupting supply chains remains vital to denying terrorist groups the resources needed to sustain their operations.
It also urged pharmaceutical distributors, transporters, healthcare providers, humanitarian organisations and other stakeholders moving bulk medical, pharmaceutical or agrochemical products across the North-East to ensure all consignments are properly documented and coordinated with relevant military authorities where necessary.
