England midfielder Jude Bellingham says the Three Lions’ 0-0 draw with Ghana at the World Cup came down to Ghana’s defensive discipline.
Bellingham admitted England dominated possession and created chances but failed to break through. The team had more shots, corners, and passes than Ghana, yet couldn’t find the back of the net on Tuesday.
“It’s one of those things that can happen,” Bellingham told FIFA’s website. “Credit to Ghana. They got out of the game what they played for. We couldn’t quite break them down, even with all the corners, all the possession, all the shots on goal.”
