A Nigerian national, Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi, has been deported from the United States following a series of criminal convictions, including domestic violence, intimidation, and obstruction.
The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) disclosed the development in a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday.
According to the agency, Ajayi initially entered the US in 2007 on a student visa but failed to leave the country after discontinuing his studies.
Rather than comply with immigration regulations, ICE revealed that Ajayi remained in the country unlawfully and went on to accumulate a significant criminal record over the years.
The agency stated that his convictions include domestic violence, trespassing, intimidation, and obstruction.
Additional allegations in his record reportedly involve kidnapping, rape, and family neglect, although further details regarding these charges were not disclosed.

ICE attributed the deportation to intensified immigration enforcement efforts targeting undocumented individuals with criminal backgrounds.
The agency noted that Ajayi’s removal aligns with ongoing policies aimed at strengthening public safety and enforcing immigration laws.
“Thanks to the administration’s commitment to removing criminal illegal aliens, Ajayi will be leaving the United States,” the statement read.
However, authorities did not specify the exact date of deportation or provide detailed information about where the offences were committed or the legal outcomes of the additional charges.
The case comes amid continued crackdowns on undocumented immigrants with criminal records, as US authorities ramp up enforcement actions and deportations nationwide.
