According to The Athletic, Canadian authorities refused Wahi a visa due to an ongoing investigation into match-fixing allegations. The case falls foul of Canada’s immigration rules, which bar entry to individuals under such scrutiny.

The Group E match is scheduled to hold at Toronto Stadium, where the West Africans will face Germany following a 1-0 win over Ecuador in their opening game.
