Residents of Nsukka and students of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka [UNN] have been urged not to panic following aerial surveillance of the university campus this morning.
The surveillance was carried out by the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters as part of routine patrols in response to recent rumours of a possible attack on the institution. The exercise was aimed at ensuring the safety of students, staff, and the surrounding community.
The Vice Chancellor of UNN, Prof Charles Ortuanya, has assured the university community that necessary measures are being taken to maintain security and order on campus. He emphasized that the institution remains safe and urged everyone to go about their activities without fear.
