
The Borno State Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with the alleged killing of a young man following a heated argument in Konduga Local Government Area.
According to reports, the incident occurred on June 6 at about 3:00 p.m., when a disagreement between two youths escalated into violence.
The suspect, identified as Adam Ali Bukar from Galtimari Ward, allegedly stabbed 20-year-old Ba’umara of Duwanti Ward in the chest during the altercation.
The case was initially reported to the police by the Commander of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Konduga. Acting swiftly, police officers led by the Divisional Police Officer arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to the General Hospital in Konduga.

Unfortunately, the victim was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor.
Following the incident, the suspect was apprehended at the scene, and the knife reportedly used in the attack was recovered as evidence.
The victim’s body has since been released to his family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
Police authorities have transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Maiduguri for further investigation.
