
Armed robbers have invaded the female hostel of Adamawa State Polytechnic’s Numan Campus, carting away 15 phones and other valuables from students.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, May 27, as Muslims were preparing for Sallah celebrations. Witnesses said the robbers were armed with guns, knives, and cutlasses. Some students who resisted were injured during the raid, and one reportedly fainted from trauma.

Affected students accused the school authorities of negligence and poor security on campus. The Numan Campus is the institution’s second-largest site after the main campus in Jimeta, Yola.
Information Officer of the polytechnic, Mr. Albert Matila, confirmed the incident. He said management would visit the affected hostel to assess the situation and determine next steps.
