
Troops of the 196 Amphibious Battalion under Operation HADIN KAI have arrested a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP collaborator during a routine security operation in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Mrs Kellu Alhaji Abba, was intercepted on May 20 at about 8:00 a.m. during a stop-and-search operation at the C Company 7 Platoon checkpoint.
Security sources disclosed that she was allegedly found transporting items believed to be supplies intended for suspected terrorists.
The items reportedly included four ready-to-use supplementary food packs, two hijabs, and a wristwatch.

Further reports indicate that the suspect was allegedly delivering the items to her son, identified as Modu Mustapha, who is said to have links with terrorist activities in the Dumba general area of Borno State.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the woman, a Kanuri indigene from Lawanti area of Baga town, is currently in military custody and undergoing further investigation to determine the extent of her involvement in the suspected logistics network.
Military authorities confirmed that she has been taken in for interrogation as investigations continue, while noting that troops maintain a strong operational presence in the area despite the generally calm but unpredictable security situation.
