
A school principal in Oyo State has made a desperate appeal for help after she and several teachers and students were reportedly abducted by armed men.
In a viral video circulating on Sunday, the woman, identified as Mrs. Alamu, who said she is the principal of Community High School, Esinele, narrated that the attack occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Friday in Oriire Local Government Area.
According to her, gunmen stormed the school premises and forcefully abducted multiple staff members and students.
“We were attacked by armed men, and many of us both teachers and students were taken. We have been held since Friday. We are pleading with the government and well-meaning Nigerians to come to our aid,” she said in the emotional video.
Another victim, Temitope, who appeared in the footage carrying a baby, also appealed for urgent intervention.
She identified herself as a staff member linked to a church in Ogbomosho and confirmed that both teachers and children were among those kidnapped.

“We need help from the federal and state governments, the church, and the community. The children are crying. Please help us so we can be released safely,” she pleaded.
The victims expressed concern over their deteriorating condition, especially the distress among the abducted children.
While the authenticity of the video has not been independently verified, the Oyo State Police Command confirmed awareness of the situation. The Police Public Relations Officer stated that investigations are ongoing.
The incident follows earlier reports of an attack on a secondary school in the Ahoro-Esinele community, where several individuals were abducted.
The development has sparked widespread concern across Nigeria, with many calling for swift security intervention and the safe rescue of the victims.
