The case followed an investigation by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Kwara Command, after Olayinka’s arrest in May 2024 over allegations of sexual abuse and exploitation of minors in Agah Village, Ilorin South Local Government Area. The matter was later transferred to the Kwara State Ministry of Justice for prosecution.
NSCDC Commandant Abbas Nda Mohammed praised the victims for speaking out despite threats and trauma, and commended his officers for their diligence. He said the command remains committed to protecting children and ensuring that perpetrators of sexual and gender-based violence face justice, regardless of their status.
