
Security forces under Sector 7, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected kidnapper in Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to security updates shared by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the suspect, identified as 45-year-old Husaini Jibrin, was apprehended during a coordinated early morning operation around 3:30 a.m. on May 12.

He was reportedly linked to a kidnapping incident that occurred in the Angwan Ali community on April 26, an attack that heightened insecurity concerns within the area. Authorities believe he played a role in both the planning and execution of the abduction.
Items recovered from the suspect include a mobile phone and ₦10,000 in cash. He is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation as investigations continue to dismantle suspected kidnapping networks operating in southern Kaduna.
Security officials noted that surveillance and patrol operations have been intensified across vulnerable communities, with ongoing joint efforts between military personnel and local security groups aimed at restoring peace and curbing criminal activities in the region.
