Gunmen have launched an attack on the headquarters of a local vigilante group in Rivers State, leaving one operative injured and residents in panic.
The incident occurred on Saturday night at about 8:10 p.m. at the office of the local security outfit, known as OSPAC, located along Erema Street in Omoku, within the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.
Eyewitness accounts revealed that the attackers arrived in two vehicles, including an ash-coloured Lexus SUV, before opening fire indiscriminately at the facility. The sudden gunshots caused fear and confusion, forcing residents and passersby to flee for safety.
