The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed key changes in the technical leadership of its youth national teams, appointing Abdu Maikaba as head coach of the Flying Eagles and Eboboritse Uwejamomere as head coach of the Golden Eaglets.
The Nigeria Football Federation announced that Abdu Maikaba will now lead the Flying Eagles, taking over from Aliyu Zubairu, who guided the team through recent continental and global competitions.
Maikaba is a familiar figure in Nigerian football, having previously worked with youth national teams and served in assistant coaching roles at the U-20 level.
Maikaba Set to Take Over as Flying Eagles Head Coach
His appointment is expected to bring experience and stability as the Flying Eagles prepare for upcoming tournaments.
In another appointment, Eboboritse Uwejamomere has been named head coach of the Golden Eaglets, replacing Manu Garba.
Uwejamomere, who has served for years as a coach-analyst with the Super Eagles setup, currently heads the academy at Sporting Lagos FC.
His elevation comes as the NFF continues efforts to strengthen youth development structures across national teams.
Both appointments are part of the federation’s broader strategy to rebuild and reposition Nigeria’s youth teams ahead of future international competitions.
