Speaking to reporters in London after the match, Simeone described Koke’s performance as “incredible” and a masterclass in how to play football at his age. The Argentine coach expressed gratitude for the team’s effort despite the disappointment of elimination.

Simeone also made a heartfelt appeal to Atletico supporters to give Griezmann the send-off he deserves as he prepares to leave the club for Orlando City at the end of the season. “I hope our fans give Antoine Griezmann the boost he has earned in these last few matches,” he said.
Bukayo Saka’s first-half goal proved decisive on the night, sealing Arsenal’s place in the Champions League final for the first time in 20 years. Simeone admitted his side were not clinical enough but insisted he remained proud of the players’ commitment throughout the tie.
