Victor Osimhen faces a decision on his club future after Galatasaray’s 4-1 defeat to Samsunspor on Saturday delayed their bid for back-to-back league titles.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles striker did not score as Galatasaray saw their lead cut to four points over rivals Fenerbahce with two games left. Galatasaray can still seal the title next weekend at home to Antalyaspor.
But attention is already shifting to Osimhen’s next move. The Nigerian has attracted interest from Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea.
Victor Oluwafemi, Senior Social Media Manager at Sporty TV, told DAILY POST that Osimhen “finally feels at home at Gala.” He added: “This is what many players desire in their career and some never get it. It’s safe to say he has become a cult hero at the club in record-breaking time. I assume the circumstances surrounding his exit from Napoli fuelled this, turning down a ridiculous amount of money from Saudi for Gala is being rewarded by the fans. He should enjoy every bit of it.”

Oluwafemi said Osimhen must test himself at the highest level to be considered among the best. “I think he is one of the best strikers in the world and the best in the world don’t play in Turkey. They play in the elite leagues. The fans, and Nigerians, deserve to see him wear a jersey of one of the elite clubs. Such talent shouldn’t be hidden in Turkey.”
It would not be a surprise if Osimhen stays at Galatasaray for another year. Some observers suggest top clubs could look elsewhere if he continues to turn them down.
Oluwafemi disagreed: “The famous saying ‘never say never’ in football applies here. If Harry Kane can make a switch to Bayern late into his career, then Victor can still make a big move if he continues to deliver for Gala.”
