A young womanc. abducted by suspected bandits in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has regained her freedom after spending several months in captivity, where she was reportedly impregnated.
The victim was kidnapped in Kasuwan Magani alongside three others when armed men attacked a residence where she had been caring for her ailing mother.
Her ordeal was made public by Reuben Buhari, a former media aide to late governor Patrick Yakowa, who shared details of the incident on social media.
According to him, the attackers took the victims into the bush, where they were held under harsh conditions for months. Their release was eventually secured after a ransom was paid.

Following her freedom, the woman was rushed to a hospital due to her deteriorated condition. Medical examinations later confirmed that she was pregnant, a development believed to be connected to the abuse she endured during captivity.
Sources said she arrived at the medical facility in a critical state and required urgent stabilisation, including a blood transfusion. She also reportedly suffered physical strain from prolonged trekking without footwear, leaving her feet swollen and injured.
Buhari described the experience as deeply traumatic, noting that many of the realities faced by kidnap victims are often too distressing to fully recount.
The incident has further heightened concerns over insecurity and recurring cases of kidnapping in parts of southern Kaduna.
Efforts to get a response from the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Mansir Hassan, were unsuccessful, as calls to his phone were not answered at the time of filing this report.
