Two female passengers were abducted on Monday by armed bandits in Bacita, a community in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident occurred when the commercial vehicle they were traveling in, en route from Niger State to Osun State, broke down at Bacita Junction due to a mechanical fault.
According to security sources, the bandits took advantage of the breakdown to strike. They reportedly overpowered the passengers near the vehicle while the driver and other travelers were unable to intervene, focusing their attack specifically on women they could easily control and abduct.
