
Twenty-four players are currently in camp at the High-Performance Centre in Benin City, Edo State, competing for places in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Nigeria Cricket Federation Women’s Invitational Tournament.
The camp features eight players hoping to earn their first call-up to the Female Yellow Greens, while 16 others are regular team members who have represented Nigeria since at least 2022.

The players are contesting for 14 spots in the final squad that will travel to Lagos for the tournament.
The competition will take place at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos from March 18 to 29.
This year’s edition has been expanded to a five-team tournament, featuring hosts Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and South Africa U-19 Women, who will be making their debut in the competition.
Nigeria’s Female Yellow Greens won the tournament in 2023 but lost the title to Tanzania in 2024, while Rwanda previously claimed the trophy in 2022.
