The Nigeria Police Force has declared Bodmas Prince Kemepadei wanted in connection with the alleged murder of 24-year-old Patrick Peresuodei in the Amassoma/Yenagoa area of Bayelsa State.
Peresuodei’s death in January 2026 sparked widespread outrage, following reports that he may have been tortured by security personnel and a local influencer after a disagreement on Facebook.
The incident prompted public protests and a government investigation, leading to the arrest of several members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Iyamah Edebor, confirmed in a statement that a High Court warrant of arrest has been issued against Kemepadei.
The suspect is wanted for conspiracy and murder in connection with Peresuodei’s death.
The police released his description: 36 years old, Ijaw tribe, dark complexion, round face, small head, thin lips, and white eyes, with his last known address at ICCH Centre, Tenacious Street, Ede-Epie, Yenagoa.
Authorities have urged anyone with information about Kemepadei’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Bayelsa State Police Command headquarters in Yenagoa.
