Nigeria’s Super Eagles were eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations on Wednesday night after suffering a 4–2 penalty shootout defeat to Morocco in the semi-final.
The keenly contested encounter ended goalless after 90 minutes, with both teams struggling to create clear-cut chances. Extra time also failed to produce a breakthrough, forcing the tie to be decided from the spot.
