A 33-year-old Nigerian man, identified as Olusegun Onidare, has been arrested and charged in Canada following allegations that he sexually assaulted two females in separate incidents in Brampton, Ontario.
The Peel Regional Police said the incidents occurred on August 31, 2026, after two females independently reported being assaulted by an unidentified man.
According to police, the first alleged incident occurred at a mall around Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard. A woman in her 20s was reportedly shopping when the suspect approached her and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Later the same day, police said the suspect allegedly approached a girl under the age of 18 at a transit terminal near Central Park Drive and Queen Street East. He reportedly engaged the girl in conversation before allegedly sexually assaulting her.

Following the reports, police released information seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
Investigators later said a member of the public recognised the man from the police appeal and contacted authorities, leading to Onidare’s arrest.
Police subsequently charged him with two counts of sexual assault and one count of breach of a probation order.
Onidare, who police described as having no fixed address, is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The allegations have not been proven in court, and the accused remains entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
