Police Declare Two Men Wanted As Nigerian Woman Who Returned From Dubai Goes Missing In Lagos -

The Nigeria Police Force has declared two men wanted in connection with the disappearance of 26-year-old Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza, a Nigerian woman who reportedly returned to the country from Dubai in June 2026.

Chinaza, an indigene of Imo State, was last seen on June 22 around the Shoreline axis of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, after returning to Nigeria with a male friend based in South Africa.

Her family has since raised concerns over her whereabouts, saying they have been unable to establish whether she is alive or dead despite efforts to trace her.

The police have issued a Special Police Gazette Bulletin declaring Chinaza missing in connection with an investigation into alleged conspiracy and murder.

According to the police, Chinaza is an Igbo woman, 26 years old, fair-skinned and of tall-to-average height. Her last known address was listed as Horizon Estate, Ikate, Lagos State.

The police also declared Ajibola Obateru, 33, and Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, 32, wanted over the case.

The authorities alleged that Obateru conspired with others to attack Chinaza, allegedly took her body to an unknown location and stole her personal belongings.

In a separate bulletin, the police made similar allegations against Alagbado, accusing him of conspiring with others to attack and allegedly kill Chinaza before moving her body to an unknown location.

Both suspects were said to have their last known address in Ajoda New Town, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Meanwhile, another suspect identified as Hakeem is reportedly in police custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Lagos, in connection with the investigation.

Chinaza’s family has called on the police to intensify efforts to locate her and establish what happened to her.

The Nigeria Police Force has urged anyone with information about Chinaza’s whereabouts or the wanted suspects to contact the SCID, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, or the nearest police station.

The circumstances surrounding Chinaza’s disappearance and the allegations against the suspects remain under investigation.
