
The race for the 2026 FIFA World Cup title has intensified, with 10 nations officially eliminated as the group stage continues to determine the teams advancing to the knockout rounds.
Curacao became the latest side to exit the competition after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Ivory Coast. Nicolas Pépé scored both goals to secure the victory, sending the Elephants through to the Round of 32 while ending Curacao’s historic debut campaign.
The list of eliminated North American teams now includes Curacao, Panama and Haiti.
From Europe, Scotland, Turkey and the Czech Republic have all failed to progress after disappointing group-stage performances.

Asia has also seen three representatives bow out, with Qatar, Uzbekistan and Jordan unable to secure qualification for the next round.
Tunisia is currently the only African nation confirmed to have been eliminated from the tournament, while other African representatives remain in contention for the knockout stage.
With several group-stage matches still to be played, six more teams are expected to join the list of eliminated nations before the Round of 32 lineup is finalized.
