
Brazilian football legend and two-time World Cup winner, Cafu, has expressed strong confidence in Brazil’s chances of lifting the FIFA World Cup trophy in 2026, describing the upcoming tournament as the “perfect moment” for the Seleção to return to global dominance.
Speaking in Madrid during the Laureus Awards, the former captain who led Brazil to their fifth World Cup title in 2002 highlighted that the team is well-positioned to end its 24-year wait for another title.
Cafu emphasized that the appointment of experienced coach Carlo Ancelotti could play a decisive role in Brazil’s success, noting that the squad already boasts strong attacking and midfield options.
