Thirteen people, including eight women, two men and three children, have sustained injuries after a Mazda bus lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.
The accident occurred around 12:30 pm on Friday, November 6, 2026, along the inward Lagos section of the expressway in Remo North Local Government Area.
According to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), the bus, with registration number AKD 52 XY, was conveying 18 passengers when one of its tyres reportedly burst, causing the driver to lose control.
The vehicle subsequently overturned before crashing into a concrete barrier. TRACE noted that the barrier prevented the bus from plunging into a deep ditch.
Rescue teams from TRACE and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) reportedly arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and evacuated the injured victims to three hospitals for medical attention.
