Eberechi Eze was the star of the night, breaking the deadlock with a sensational long-range strike in the 36th minute his first Champions League goal for the club.
Mikel Arteta’s side showed attacking intent from the outset, creating multiple chances through Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka, but were repeatedly denied by Leverkusen goalkeeper Janis Blaswich, who produced a string of impressive saves.
Arsenal’s persistence eventually paid off when Eze unleashed a powerful effort into the top corner, capping a dominant first-half display.
The hosts maintained control after the break and doubled their lead in the 63rd minute through Declan Rice, who calmly finished after winning possession high up the pitch.
