Security forces have rescued a kidnapped victim after confronting suspected kidnappers in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The operation involved troops of the 322 Army Regiment, the Nigeria Police and local vigilantes.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on September 7, 2026, along Juju Junction, behind Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma.

The security team reportedly engaged the suspected kidnappers during the operation, forcing them to abandon the victim and escape from the area.
The victim was subsequently rescued and handed over to the police for further action.
Security personnel are continuing efforts to locate the fleeing suspects and prevent further kidnapping and other criminal activities in the area.
