The Oyo state police command has arrested a 33-year-old housewife, Comfort Tinubu, for allegedly stabbing her husband, Olusegun Tinubu, to death in Ibadan.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Oyo State, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident on Friday in Ibadan.
According to reports, Comfort stabbed her husband to death after a misunderstanding over an undisclosed issue in their house in Ibadan.
The couple got married three years ago and lived at Gbeyi in Adegbayi area of Ibadan.
The marriage is blessed with two children.
It was gathered that the husband and wife started argument around 10. 00 p.m. on Wednesday, and the woman allegedly locked the husband out of their bedroom.
“This resulted in a fight during which the wife stabbing the husband on the back”, a source alleged
Osifeso said that investigation was ongoing in the case.
“The case is under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.
“Updates will be provided accordingly,” Osifeso said.
