Police in Ibadan have arrested 10 suspected armed robbers during a raid on a local hotel. The operation, carried out early Friday morning, led to the recovery of goods worth over ₦100 million.
The police said the suspects were detected through a combination of CCTV surveillance and an anonymous tip-off from a hotel staff member who noticed suspicious activity.
Acting on the information, the police monitored the hotel before moving in to make the arrest.
According to the police spokesperson, the suspects were found with various stolen items, including electronics, cash, and valuables.
“Our swift response prevented further loss and ensured the safety of the guests,” the spokesperson said.
The arrested suspects are currently being held at the Ibadan Police Command, and investigations are ongoing to determine if they are linked to other recent robberies in the state.
